Gossip Girl is set in New York as we all know - the city infamous for wearing black. I’m all for the reemphasis and reinvention of lovely gray hues, and recent on set photos show Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf, perfectly displaying this dark palette ensemble off in a casual-yet-put-together way (as a supposed Freshman at NYU would). The studded jeans are definitely a trend I’m on with as well, set above platform boots.
As for Little J, she gets it all wrong with a crop top matched with an unflattering skirt. The bland jacket doesn’t help much:
She looks like a little girl swimming in dress-up clothes. Maybe one day she’ll grow up and take over Queen B. Let’s hope, for fashisms’ sake.
I want Leighton’s jeans-boots combo. And the purple bag. The purple bag is great.
